The present study addresses, with regard to the rapidly expanding field of artificial intelligence (AI) and its profound impacts on various aspects of human life, the identification and analysis of fundamental jurisprudential rules relevant to this issue. Despite scattered studies on the interaction between Islamic jurisprudence and AI, there appears to be a significant research gap concerning a systematic analysis of overarching jurisprudential rules governing this technology. Accordingly, this study employs a descriptive-analytical approach and relies on library-based sources to explore the research problem. Examination of jurisprudential documents indicates that four key and central rules—nafy al-sabil (prohibition of harmful means), tasbīb (attribution of causality), karāmah (human dignity), and taslīṭ (authority/empowerment)—can serve as a comprehensive framework for addressing jurisprudential issues related to AI, offering a suitable model in this field. The findings suggest that these rules, respectively, can guide the prevention of technological dependency, the determination of legal responsibility in AI tools, the observance of ethics and preservation of human dignity, and finally, the protection of property rights in the domain of AI.
