The authority and Hashemite status in the holy Sharia are the bearers of some jurisprudential works and rulings. The confirmation of these works and rulings on the title of "Hashemi" and "Sayyid" in Imami jurisprudence requires the verification of authority and Hashemite status through valid methods in doubtful cases. Imami jurists, in the midst of their studies, have determined and explained criteria such as fame, evidence, proof, and obtaining certainty from documents in various jurisprudential books for the verification of the Hashemite title. Meanwhile, some criteria and misconceptions about the verification of authority have also been circulated among the scholars of the law, and the influence of some of these criteria on the culture of the legislators is due to the failure of the Imami jurists to determine the boundaries of the jurisprudential rulings regarding the Hashemites and the areas of its proof. The present study, using a descriptive-analytical method, has determined the limits of the terms in this regard and has scientifically analyzed these invalid methods according to the famous Imami belief. Criteria such as claiming or acknowledging sovereignty, attribution to a Hashemite mother and grandmother, breastfeeding from a Hashemite woman, the end of menstruation and the beginning of menopause in women, resorting to lottery and strange sciences to prove attribution, seeing it in a dream, and being born in a blessed time or place do not constitute Hashemitehood in its specific terminological sense.
